The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) is seeking an Education & Administrative Coordinator to support our education programs and day-to-day operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys working across teams, and takes pride in keeping things organized, accurate, and running smoothly.

About the Role

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting ASFMRA’s education programs, including in-person courses, virtual classes, and exams, while also contributing to broader administrative and operational needs across the organization.

You’ll work closely with team members across departments to coordinate logistics, manage communications, and support internal processes that keep our programs and office running efficiently.

This is a highly collaborative role within a small team, where flexibility, initiative, and attention to detail are essential. No two days are exactly the same, and you’ll be involved across different areas while playing an important part in keeping things running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Education Program Support

  • Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual education programs, including webinars and exams
  • Manage participant and instructor communications and scheduling
  • Maintain accurate course and participant records in our database
  • Prepare and ship course materials and assist with classroom setup
  • Support live courses (in-person and virtual), including troubleshooting basic tech issues
  • Coordinate post-course follow-up, including certificates and surveys

Administrative & Operations Support

  • Monitor and route requests from the general office inbox
  • Assist with basic financial processes, including invoices and payment entries
  • Support mail and shipping
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and volunteers
  • Maintain office organization and supply inventory

Communications & Organizational Support

  • Assist with drafting and formatting internal communications and materials
  • Support presentation development and formatting
  • Conduct research on vendors, services, or event logistics
  • Provide administrative support across departments as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of administrative or program coordination experience (nonprofit or office environment preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
  • Comfort learning new systems and troubleshooting basic technology (Zoom, AV, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams and priorities

Work Environment

  • Primarily in-office to support education programs and material preparation
  • Hybrid flexibility available depending on schedule and workload
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours tied to major events

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a salary range of $60,000–$62,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a hybrid work environment. ASFMRA also provides an 8.5% employer-funded 401(k) contribution after one year of employment (fully vested, no employee contribution required), along with employer-paid health insurance for employees and HSA options.
